ISSNOVA is the Institute for Sustainable Society and Innovation, an Italian independent research foundation focusing on the design of safe and sustainable processes. ISSNOVA core expertise is the resilience and performances analysis of safety critical systems and services, user research and need analysis for innovation. ISSNOVA with his know-how will help the FLEXSHIP project in the integration, safety and technical performance providing results to ensure the scalability and interoperability of the integrating batteries and power/battery management systems can be demonstrated in the two full-scale vessel demonstrators. The FLEXSHIP project is important for ISSNOVA for reinforcing its cross-cutting research expertise in performances assessment in the maritime domain and to enlarge its inter disciplinary research network.
