The Second Stakeholder Workshop of FLEXSHIP took place on February 17, 2025, as a hybrid event at the Kocaeli Congress Center in Kocaeli, Turkey. This workshop brought together key stakeholders from the maritime and waterborne transport sector to present the latest advances, developments, and results of the project.
FLEXSHIP aims to revolutionize the electrification of the global fleet through the integration and installation of innovative, flexible, and modular large battery systems on board vessels. The event provided a platform to showcase how these solutions will contribute to a more sustainable maritime industry.
The workshop featured four key presentations:
- FLEXSHIP presentation and overall picture
- Key innovations of the project
- Presentation of Atatürk ship-case
- Mapping the stakeholder market
Approximately 80 participants attended the event, both in person and online, with many stakeholders expressing significant interest in the project’s development.
The workshop was highly attended and successfully facilitated engagement with industry leaders, reinforcing the importance of FLEXSHIP’s contributions to maritime electrification.
