NTNU is a partner in FLEXSHIP and a work-package leader for Vessel integration, Digitalization, Demonstration, and Validation. Besides, the NTNU Research Vessel Gunnerus (RVG) will be a use case and a demonstrator in the project, meaning that RVG will receive battery packs enough for a short voyage of zero-emission in Trondheim fjord.
The researchers at NTNU will take part in the development of the FLEXSHIP solutions and realization of its Digital Green concept through vessel grid and control architecture, test and validation, data analytics, and performance evaluation and optimization.
