Elkon into the FLEXSHIP
As the maritime industry transitions toward zero-emission solutions, ELKON, a member of the Schottel Group, brings its deep-rooted expertise in maritime electrical systems and automation to the forefront of the FLEXSHIP project. With decades of experience in designing advanced electrical configurations and integrating Power Management Systems (PMS), ELKON plays a vital role in electrifying the future of shipping.
ELKON supports FLEXSHIP’s digital transformation by contributing to the development and validation of hybrid energy system models and Digital Twin scenarios. Leveraging these simulation-based insights, ELKON ensures that physical control systems are fully optimized before deployment. As a key integrator, ELKON is also responsible for implementing the Energy Management System (EMS)—developed by project partners—into the demonstration vessels, enabling seamless coordination with onboard PMS and automation systems for efficient and reliable hybrid operation.
What ELKON brings to FLEXSHIP:
- Full electrical integration for DEMO vessels
- Grid design and control logic for hybrid energy systems
- Support for Digital Twin-based green concepts
- Hands-on system installation, testing, and optimization
