Development of Business models for achieving 300nm by 2027, battery life cycle cost analysis (LCCA), sustainability, social acceptance and environmental impact of vessel green transition and commercial strategies for technology transfer.

The development of business models related to the several use-cases triggered by the FLEXSHIP development actions has already started to be shaped.

Framed within this task, the key representative business use-cases will be identified and then analyzed in terms of its specific key metrics for business development. (i.e. components modularization, retrofitting, techno-economic indicators, LCAs, operational efficiencies, renewable impact and penetration, grid infrastructures changes, electricity pricing, etc). Once done, the use-cases business models will be simulated and the associated strategies for achieving profitability will be brought up.

Finally, as for one of the FLEXSHIP outcomes, a virtual demonstration (proof-of-concept) of FLEXSHIP solutions operating fully electric on sailing distance of 300nm will be delivered.

FLEXSHIP received funding from EU Horizon Europe research and innovation program under Grant Agreement no. 101095863.
