Our goal in FLEXSHIP project is to support development of flexible and modular large battery systems. For safe on-board integration and operation of electric powered vessels, demonstrated in multiple type of ships.
Improve sustainability targets of Wabtec for electrification of different fleets by:
• Increase knowledge and know how on preparation of digital twins for battery charging technologies.
• Design high power DC/DC converter for industrial applications.
• Increase knowledge on battery designs to improve charging systems.
• Increase knowledge on use case definitions for marine applications to reuse vehicle electrical grid architectures adapted from rail industry.
